AVOID Midtown Tunnel for the next several hours due to an accident. The Tunnel is currently closed. 
The Rt. 58 Midtown Tunnel remains closed to traffic due to an earlier crash inside the tunnel, and it is expected to remain closed through afternoon rush. Traffic approaching the Midtown Tunnel is being turned around at this time. Motorists should consider the I-264 Downtown Tunnel as an alternate.
