White County-The name of the suspect in yesterday’s hostage situation has been identified as Don Oneal Smith, 29 of the South Bend, Elkhart area. The two troopers involved in the shooting were Trooper Weslee Ennis and Trooper Rick Hudson. Both troopers will be assigned administrative duties till such time that a review board makes a determination of their actions taken yesterday evening. The names of the other officers will be released by their respective agencies when they deem it appropriate. No further will be released at this time.
