On Sunday, April 12, 2015 The Village of Rosemont and the mb Financial Park at Rosemont will be sponsoring the inaugural “Heroes with Hope” 5K Run / Walk to benefit the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
The event will kick off at 9:00 am and will involve several road closures along the route of the run and is expected to conclude by 11:00 am.
Temporary road closures, detours and traffic stoppages are expected along the route including River Road, from Balmoral Ave to Higgins Rd. (including Bryn Mawr Ave, exit ramps from the I-190 to River Rd, and Northbound I-294 to River Rd.).
The event’s Start/Finish line will be at the MB Financial Park in Rosemont. Parking will be available in the municipal parking garage located immediately East of MB Financial Park. The Rosemont Public Safety Department will provide traffic control along the entire route of the run. Patience on the part of motorists in the area is appreciated however; alternative routes around the area include Mannheim Road for North and South, and Touhy Ave or Lawrence Ave. for East and West Traffic.
