Two Arrested for Burglary of a Habitation
Today at approximately 5:00 AM Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 1800 block of Huff in reference to checking on a suspicious person. Witnesses advised Police that they observed two males, one wearing a Bengals jersey and the other wearing a blue and white shirt, pull up to a residence in the 1800 block of Huff in a green Chevrolet pickup. The witness then stated that the suspects exited the vehicle and began looking around the residence with flashlights. The witness then stated they heard what sounded like someone jumping a fence and then glass breaking.
When Officers began checking the area they discovered the residence the suspect where seen at had a broken window in the back of the house. They also located a flashlight laying on the floor just inside the residence.
While further checking the area Officers were able to locate two suspects matching the description given by the original witness. The suspects were detained and identified as Christopher Cavinder (39 year old white male of Wichita Falls) and Justin Carpenter (34 year old white male of Burkburnett).
Both suspects were arrested and transported to jail without incident. They were both charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
