THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING FOR GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM WEDNESDAY TO 8 PM PDT THURSDAY.
* WINDS AND TIMING...NORTHEAST WINDS 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 60 MPH AND HIGHER WILL DEVELOP EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING AND PEAK BY MIDDAY WITH A LULL EXPECTED IN THE AFTERNOON. WINDS WILL INCREASE AGAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7-15 PERCENT. POOR OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES BELOW 25 PERCENT.
* IMPACTS...RAPID FIRE GROWTH AND EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR IS EXPECTED IF FIRE IGNITION OCCURS.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL
