On Tuesday evening (04/14/15) at approximately 6:13 p.m., Greene County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home located in the 5700 block of W State Highway O, east of Willard to check on the well-being of the female resident at this location after family members hadn't had any contact with her for several days. When Deputies entered the home, they located the deceased bodies of 43-year old Teresa Hill and 36-year old Roger Banfield.


During the initial phase of the investigation, it appeared to be a possible murder-suicide; however, after further investigation, this incident is consistent with a double suicide. Mr. Banfield had an apparent gunshot wound to his head; Ms. Hill did not have any visible physical signs of trauma to her body and evidence is consistent with a drug overdose, pending results from the toxicology report.


Autopsies were conducted on both individuals and results are still pending.
