THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HOUSTON/GALVESTON HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS...INCLUDING
THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...BRAZORIA...CHAMBERS...FORT BEND...
GALVESTON...HARRIS...JACKSON...LIBERTY...MATAGORDA AND WHARTON.
* THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING
* THE WATCH IS BASED UPON HEAVY RAIN TRAINING ACROSS AREAS THAT
HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED RAIN TODAY AND THOSE COUNTIES THAT GENERALLY
HAVE GREATER THAN 70 PERCENT SOIL SATURATION. THE EASTERN MOST
COUNTIES OF THE WATCH HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED 6 HOUR 4 TO 6 INCH
AMOUNTS FOCUSED OVER EASTERN LIBERTY AND CHAMBERS COUNTIES.
* ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF GREATER THAN TWO INCHES THROUGH TONIGHT
WILL LIKELY GENERATE FLASH FLOODING AS THIS PRECIPITATION WILL
BECOME RUN-OFF.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
