**UPDATE** Public Safety Celebrates the Recovery of Whittier Children
**UPDATE**
Pico Rivera Sheriff's Station, along with Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine 40, were honored to be invited to the welcome home celebration for James and Andrea, ages 11 and 8. The children were injured on March 27th when a large tree fell on top of them as they played in their front yard in the unincorporated area of West Whittier. These children have shown incredible strength and bravery as they have recovered from their significant injuries from that day. Deputies from Pico Station and firefighters from Engine 40 took up a collection in order to buy James and Andrea welcome home gifts after their stay at Los Angeles County Medical Center. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day!
