LAKE LURE POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST RESULTS IN NUMEROUS FELONY CHARGES
Lake Lure Police Department began receiving calls at the end of March regarding homes being broken into and items taken from the home. A total of 4 homes were broken into all within the same area of town. The homes were quickly worked for clues and fingerprints and a thorough investigation began.
Through these investigations and interviews of victims and neighbors one name kept being brought up as a suspect. Lake Lure Police Department’s Sergeant Andy Greenway quickly put together a case file and worked with Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department, who also had the same subject under investigations for numerous felony charges for the same crime.
Mr. Justin Babb of Inman South Carolina, a 33 year old white male subject was picked up and arrested by Spartanburg County. Sergeant Greenway interviewed the suspect and was able to obtain confessions regarding all of the four cases in Lake Lure.
“We were able to quickly get leads on this case by an on-line program that is shared with law enforcement agencies nationwide” stated Sergeant Greenway. “It’s an invaluable tool that leads us quickly to the suspects.”
Mr. Babb’s remains in the custody of Spartanburg County in their Detention Center.
