Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reports a Sikeston area man arrested for Drug Paraphernalia and Property Damage.
Jeremy B. Pearson (35) of 140 Stone Drive, Sikeston, Missouri has been charged with the Class D Felony of Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia and the Class B Misdemeanor of Property Damage.
Sheriff Walter states that on Friday, April 24, 2015 deputies responded to 140 Stone Drive, Sikeston, Missouri for a delayed disturbance report. When deputies arrived they were told Pearson caused a disturbance due to him believing he had an active warrant. Once Pearson found out the Sheriff’s Office was called, he left the residence on foot and slammed the front door as he left; this causing the glass to break in the front door.
Pearson was later located by the deputies hiding near a pump house west of the residence. Pearson was detained, and upon searching him incident to arrest, a syringe was located in Pearson’s pocket. Pearson admitted the syringe was used to ingest methamphetamine.
The syringe had a clear liquid inside of it, which tested positive for methamphetamine.
Pearson was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. Pearson was booked in the jail pending the filing of formal chargers by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney.
Pearson remains in custody at the Scott County Jail. Bond was set by the court at $2,500.00 cash only.
