LINDENWOLD POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE 4/29/2015 Suspect Caught in the Act of Committing Vehicle Burglary

On 04/29/2015 at 2347 hours Lindenwold Police Officers were dispatched to Dover Drive in the Georgetown Condominium Complex for a report of male entering unlocked vehicles. As Officers approached the area one of them noticed a male sitting in a vehicle. The male, Douglas Flannel (50) of Camden, NJ, was in the process of burglarizing the vehicle and was arrested. During the ensuing investigation it was determined that the suspect had burglarized two other vehicles in the area. At the time of his arrest he was found in possession of proceeds from an earlier burglary that he committed.
All of the vehicles that had been broken into were vehicles that had been left unlocked. The suspect was charged with Burglary (x3) and Theft (x3). He was processed and remanded to Camden County Jail default of $150,000.00 bail.
The Lindenwold Police Department would like to remind everyone to be sure to lock your car doors and refrain from leaving valuables in your vehicle.
