Chula Vista Library Foundation Hosts Gala "Bon Appetit" Food and Wine Fundraiser Saturday at Otay Ranch Town Center

Enjoy a casual evening under the stars with wine, spirits, savory hors d’oeuvres and music while helping to support the Chula Vista Public Library. On Saturday, May 2, from 5 to 9 p.m., the Chula Vista Public Library Foundation (CVPLF) will host “Bon Appetit: Celebrating Food, Wine and Our Libraries” at the Otay Ranch Town Center in the food pavilion next to the City’s trendsetting Otay Ranch Branch Library. Favorite area restaurants and food vendors, excellent vintners, purveyors of premium tequila and vodka, popular KSDS radio deejay John Phillips, and a silent and live auction will entertain guests age 21 and over.
Tickets for the evening are $40 per person and can be purchased at the three City libraries (Otay Ranch, Civic Center, 365 F Street, and South Branch, 389 Orange Avenue), from CVPLF members, or at the door that evening.
The silent and live auctions will showcase a wide variety of outstanding gift items and packages, including four one-day Park Hopper passes to Disneyland and California Adventure, VIP ticket packages to popular concerts at Sleep Train Amphitheatre this season including Van Halen, Def Leppard, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande. Also, a grand prize live drawing of a $1000 shopping spree at Otay Ranch Town Center is scheduled; tickets for this raffle are only $5 each and can be purchased in advance from each library branch as well as at the event. There is no need to be present to win.
“Thanks to our generous sponsors and the library lovers of Chula Vista, we hope the community will join us for an evening of good music, great food and drink, and fantastic prizes, all to support a wonderful cause – our Chula Vista Public Library,” said Betty Waznis, Library Director. “Our goal this year is to raise funds to expand the Otay Ranch Branch hours of operation to include Sunday.”
The CVPL Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the Chula Vista Public Library by providing charitable funds to further the education and community service goals of the library.
