On April 24, 2015 at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Los Banos Police Department responded to the 2100 Block of Palermo Drive for a report of a traffic collision with injuries.
When Officers arrived they discovered 26-year-old Donald Pratt of Gustine had collided into a parked vehicle while travelling west on Palermo Drive. An adult female in Pratt’s vehicle suffered minor injuries during the collision and Officers determine a 2-year-old child in Pratt’s vehicle was improperly restrained in the vehicle during the collision. The child did not appear to be injured but was transported by ambulance to Los Banos Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
During the investigation Officers located open alcohol containers in Pratt’s vehicle and believe he was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and prescription medication. Because of his injuries, Pratt was not arrested but has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs causing injury, child endangerment, and possession of an open alcohol container in a vehicle.
