Perfume Bandits Arrested and Charged with Robbery
Two suspects arrested and charged with the robbery of an Ambercrombie & Fitch store in the city of Rolling Hills Estates.
On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at approximately 7:30 pm, two suspects entered the Ambercrombie & Fitch store in the city of Rolling Hills Estates and stole approximately $3000.00 worth of perfume. During the course of the theft the suspects threatened a store employee with physical harm if he attempted to intervene.
Similar incidents were reported in the cities of Lakewood, Redondo Beach and Santa Monica. During each incident, bits and pieces of evidence, including witness statements were collected. Lomita detectives quickly identified possible suspects, and continued to make progress in the investigation.
On April 29, 2015, Lomita detectives served two search warrants and arrested Maynor Antonio Douglas, MB/20, a gang member from South Los Angeles, and Kervon Jordan, MB/18, also a gang member from South Los Angeles. Evidence linking the suspects to the crime was recovered.
On May 1, 2015, felony robbery charges were filed in South Bay Court with bail amounts at $75,000.00 and $50,000.00 respectively.
