Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reports a Scott County man arrested for Domestic Assault.

Kevin L. Kielhofner (32) of Scott County, Missouri has been charged with the Class A Misdemeanor of Domestic Assault in the Third Degree

Sheriff Walter states that on Thursday, April 30, 2015 a deputy responded to a residence outside of Oran, Missouri for a disturbance in progress in the front yard of the residence.

The deputy arrived and discovered there was not a physical disturbance between Kielhofner and his girlfriend. It had been a verbal disturbance. Both Kielhofner and the other party were told to stay away from each other.

Approximately one hour later, the deputy was advised that Kielhofner and his girlfriend were walking on Kirkpatrick Street, Morley, Missouri. They were in another verbal disturbance. When the deputy arrived, Kielhofner was screaming at his girlfriend. Kielhofner then grabbed her left arm forcing her to stop. The girlfriend attempted to walk away, but Kielhofner grabbed her again forcing her to stop. When Kielhofner saw the deputy, Kielhofner let go of the victim’s arm.

Kielhofner was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. Kielhofner was booked in the jail pending the filing of formal chargers by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney.

Kielhofner remains in custody at the Scott County Jail. Bond was set by the court at $1,000.00 cash only and cannot have any contact with the victim.
