Last night at approx. 2157 hrs Officers responded to 3001 Kemp for a Burglary of a Habitation in progress. The resident reported that Nicholas Padilla forced his way through the back door and assaulted a w/m who was inside the apartment. Padilla had already left the scene when Officers arrived but they were able to get a vehicle and clothing description along with the location he was possibly headed. Officers then located Padilla at his residence. Padilla was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and transported to the Wichita County Jail. The victim was taken to United Regional for treatment.
