NPD to Host Car Seat Clinic on May 9th
IS YOUR CHILD IN THE RIGHT CAR SEAT?
The proper use of car seats is one of the simplest and most effective methods available for protecting the lives of young children in the event of a motor vehicle crash. Taking the time to have your child’s car seat checked may save their life. Noblesville Police Department will be hosting a Child Restraint Clinic as part of the 2015 Children’s Bureau Spring Fling, “Passport to Prevention”. The clinic will be held Saturday May 9th, 2015 at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds, from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. During the free car seat clinic, a certified car seat technician will teach you how to install and use a car seat correctly.
There are limited car seats available for parents/caregivers who cannot otherwise afford to purchase one for their child. The child must be present to receive a free car seat, unless the child is unborn. You will need to provide verification of financial need for each car seat distributed (such as membership cards for any public assistance program, or a statement from the parent stating the need and lack of financial means to purchase a car seat). Parents/caregivers are encouraged to make donations to the program.
