20-year old WIllard resident charged for Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer
On April 20, 2015, at approximately 2:48 p.m., Greene County Sheriff's Deputies received information about a gray Dodge Charger which had flashing blue and red lights, driving on James River Freeway. A witness obtained the license plate number of the car and provided it to the 911 call-taker. Through further investigation, Deputies were able to determine the registered owner who lived at an address in Willard. With the assistance of Willard Police Department, the vehicle and driver were located.
The GCSO had received reports of other incidents where someone in a gray Dodge Charger had pulled them over and confronted them about their driving. The citizens realized the traffic stop was odd and the male was likely not a law enforcement officer only after the traffic stop was over.
The Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has charged 20-year old JACOB M TRAMMELL with:
1 - misdemeanor count of False Impersonation of a Law Enforcement Officer
1 - misdemeanor count of Used Siren/Blue Lamp on Motor Vehicle without Valid Permit from Chief Fire Department/Ambulance Association
(case #1531-CR02969)
