North Vernon – Seven people have been arrested as a result of an extensive investigation of dealing drugs in the Jennings County area.

The Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section launched the investigation in July 2013 which resulted in the arrest of seven area residents on May 04, 2015. This investigation consisted of a series of drug purchases by undercover officers from the suspects.

This investigation culminated in the arrest of seven people as a direct result of collaboration between the Indiana State Police, Jennings County Sheriff Department, North Vernon Police Department, Columbus Police Department and Jennings County Prosecutor’s Office. Some of the suspects were already incarcerated at time of warrants being issued. They were served with the warrant in those facilities. Listed below are the seven people who are charged in this matter:

1. Margo D. Garris 34, of Jennings County, currently housed in Jennings County Jail on unrelated offense, one count Dealing Heroin, Level 6 Felony.
2.  Tony C. Pearson 31, of Jennings County, currently housed in Indiana Department of Corrections-Branchville on unrelated offense, three counts of Dealing Heroin, Level 6 Felony.
3.  Travis F. Clark 29, of Jennings County, currently housed in Jennings County Jail on unrelated offense, three counts of Dealing Heroin, Level 6 Felony.
4.  Edward “Jesse” Swindall 40, of Seymour, currently housed in Jackson County Jail on unrelated offense, two counts of Dealing Heroin.
5.  Justin H. Gribbins 29, of Columbus, one count of Dealing Heroin, Level 6 Felony.
6.  Suzan N. Pettit 23, of Columbus, three counts of Dealing Heroin, Level 6 Felony.
7.  Brandi N. Harrison 29, of North Vernon, one count Dealing Marijuana, Level 6 Felony.
