On May 4, 2015 The Giles County Sheriff's Department was notified by a citizen that a male subject was in violation of Sexual Offender Registry laws. Deputy Josh bass contacted the complainant, the female stated the Donnie Dean Rolin is a registered sexual offender and she felt he was in violation of the registry laws. The caller stated she had seen Mr. Rolin at a convenience store in Elkton with an eleven or twelve year old female child. Deputy Bass proceeded to the residence of Mr. Donnie Rolin, it was confirmed that Mr Rolin had moved from his registered address to another location and failed to notify the Sheriff's Department sexual offender monitoring officer. During the course of the investigation, it was determined who the female child was.
On May 5, 2015 Investigators Mike Sands and Lt. Hunter along with Department of Children Services identified the juvenile. A search warrant was executed on Rolin's residence. numerous items of evidentiary value were removed. Mr. Rolin was arrested at the residence without incident. Mr. Rolin was charged with aggravated rape and violation of the sexual offender registry. Mr. Rolin remains in the Giles County Jail with bond set at $503,500 and is scheduled to appear in court today May 7, 2015. Charlotte Ann Johnson was also arrested involving this case for Criminal Responsibility for facilitation of a felony. Ms. Johnson is being held at the Giles County Jail on a $250,000 bond and is also scheduled to appear in court at the same time as Rolin.
