Male & Female Robbery Suspects Nabbed
Mission Hills. Public interest in the male & female robbery team who were robbing lone females in the Panorama City Area led to quick arrests of both suspects. A concerned citizen contacted Mission Area Robbery Detectives.
The citizen provided information which assisted detectives in identifying the female suspect. Once the female was identified, the detectives were able to make the connection to the male suspect and identify him.
The female was located in Oxnard and taken into custody. The Ford F150 truck with license plate 77584D1 used in the robberies was found parked nearby where she was arrested. “We knew with the description we had of the truck and the fact that it was a Harley Davidson edition, it was only a matter of time before we found the suspects.” said Lt. Kathleen Burns, Commanding Officer of LAPD’s Mission Detective Division. During the arrest, detectives also discovered a replica handgun, and weapons that were used in the robberies.
Detectives learned the male suspect was already in custody for an unrelated warrant. Robbery charges are pending against both suspects.
The female was identified as Mello, Victoria DOB 01/11/94
The male was identified as Diaz, Javier DOB 10/08/89.
