Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reports a Sikeston, Missouri man arrested for Drugs and Paraphernalia.

Robert J. Haynes (22) of 3703 State Highway BB Apartment 2D, Sikeston, Missouri has been charged with the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and the Class A Misdemeanor of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sheriff Walter states that on Thursday, May 7, 2015 a deputy responded to 3703 State Highway BB Apartment 2D, Sikeston in an attempt to locate a subject with an active warrant.

The tenant of the apartment gave the deputy permission to search the residence for the subject. The subject was not there, but Haynes was located in the living room. Haynes was identified and checked for active warrants. An active warrant was located on Haynes out of the city of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Haynes was placed under arrest and searched incident to arrest. Located in Haynes pants pocket was a syringe with a clear liquid inside of it. Haynes admitted that the liquid was methamphetamine.

Haynes was transported to the Scott County Jail. Haynes was booked in the jail pending the filing of formal chargers by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney.

Haynes remains in custody at the Scott County Jail. Bond was set by the court at $1,000.00 cash only.
