Polk Sheriff’s Investigators Recover Approximately $25,000 Stolen Property with Additional Arrests in Mill Spring Breaking and Entering

As a joint effort with Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Fletcher Police Department, Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and the Transylvania County Sheriff’s office three houses were searched where large amounts of stolen property was recovered.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal investigations Division obtained information that a home in the Town of Fletcher in Henderson County was being used to store bulk of stolen items from the home in Mill Spring. Investigators contacted Fletcher Police Department and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office who together began gathering intelligence on Sumlee Mongkolket Fayssoux.

The agencies decided to go to the residence located at Barrington Court and ask if the occupants would allow them to conduct a search of the residence. The search turned up several thousands of dollars of property that was stolen from the residence in Polk County. Also Heroin, Methamphetamine, Liquid Ecstasy, and various paraphernalia was found in the residence and seized. This search resulted in the search of two additional houses in Buncombe County. Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Captain BJ Bayne said, “This comes as a result of persistence. As leads developed, investigators continued to follow each one which took a snowball effect.”

Buncombe County assisted the agencies in locating the residences searched which to turned up more stolen property. As well as additional charges being filed against four more suspects in the case. Their names are being held at this time pending an arrest. Along with Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office Investigator, they went to an additional suspect’s residence and secured warrants on that individual.

The investigation has led to the recovery of approximately $25,000 worth of stolen property with five suspects having already been arrested and an additional four suspects with outstanding warrants. Bayne said, “The results are efforts of multi-agencies cooperation working for the good of a victim. All the involved agencies pulled together and put numerous hours in trying to recover as much property and apprehend all individuals responsible.”

Sumlee Mongkolket Fayssoux 35, of Barrington Court Fletcher, NC has been arrested and charged with three counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering, Misdemeanor 1st Degree Trespassing, and Felony Conspiracy Breaking and Entering/Larceny. She is currently being held in the Transylvania County Detention Facility where she has a $16,500 secured bond. She has been given a court appointed attorney and her next court appearance is scheduled for May 27.

Previous arrests in the case were;

Christina Parris, 33 of Hope View Drive Hendersonville, NC was charged with Felony Breaking & Entering, 1st Degree Trespass, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia. Parris was issued a $15,000.00 secure bond. She has been appointed an attorney with her next scheduled court date of May 20.

Amy Bowser-Sypress, 33 of Owensby Road Hendersonville, NC was charged with Felony Breaking & Entering and 1st Degree Trespass. Bowser-Sypress was issued a $5,000.00 secure bond which she has posted. She has had her first court appearance where she was appointed an attorney and next scheduled is for May 20.

Eva Acosta, 28 of Elson Drive Hendersonville, NC was charged with Felony Breaking & Entering, 1st Degree Trespass, Possession of Marijuana, and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana Inside of a Detention Facility. Acosta was issued a Written Promise to Appear and has her first court appearance on May 27.
