Female Arrested after brief Chase on US 41
Knox County – At approximately 9:08 p.m., Trooper William Campbell was patrolling US 41 northbound near the Gibson County line when the driver of a silver Honda passed him driving 75 mph. Trooper Campbell activated his emergency lights and the driver pulled over near SR 56. As Campbell approached the vehicle the driver sped away northbound on US 41 into Knox County. The driver finally stopped approximately ½ mile south of Willow Street after driving over stop sticks that were deployed by the Vincennes City Police. After the vehicle stopped the driver refused to exit the vehicle. Officers gained access into the vehicle and pulled the driver out. The driver continued to resist and was tased by Vincennes City Police. The driver was later identified as Gwenevere Estes, 55, of Jackson, TN. She was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes and then taken to the Knox County Jail where she is currently being held on bond.

- Possession of Marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor
- Driving While Intoxicated (Marijuana), Class A Misdemeanor
