On 05/13/2015 just before 10:30 am, 50 year old registered sex offender Edward Daniel Perrey of Fort Wayne was taken into custody by the US Marshals Service and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office in the 4200 block of Mirada Drive in Fort Wayne. Perrey was wanted out of Steuben County on an arrest warrant charging Perrey with one count of failure to register as a sex offender, a level 6 felony. The arrest warrant was issued by the Steuben County Superior Court on 05/12/2015 following a Steuben County Sheriff’s investigation into allegations Perrey had violated Indiana’s Sex and Violent Offender Registry law in Steuben County. Perrey is being held in the Allen County Jail awaiting extradition back to Steuben County. Steuben County Sheriff’s detectives were assisted in the investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry and Notification Team.
