GCSO Deputies investigating father-son dispute, resulting in one person with a gunshot wound 
On Tuesday (05/12/15) night at approximately 8:40 p.m., Greene County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of W Augusta Hills in northern Greene County in reference to a domestic disturbance. GCSO Deputies determined an argument had occurred between a 60-year old father and his 20-year old son within the home which escalated into a physical altercation; GCSO Deputies contacted the father at the home and were unable to locate the son at the time.
During the altercation, a small caliber handgun which was in the same room as the two men was discharged. Because the son was not at the location, it was unknown if he was injured. However, GCSO Deputies later learned the son had driven himself to a local hospital to receive medical treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the ankle.
The 60-year old father was arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail. Charges will be submitted to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for further review.
