San Fernando Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at approximately 5:40 P.M., San Fernando Police Communications received a 911 call regarding a robbery that just occurred at the Chase bank, located at 402 South Brand Boulevard, in the City of San Fernando. The caller reported that the suspect entered the bank, demanded money and presented a note to the teller. The teller did not provide any money and fled from the counter. The suspect left the bank on foot and out of sight.
Based on two similar robberies within the surrounding community, LAPD was able to locate a suspect later that evening. After a brief vehicle pursuit, the suspect and an accomplice were arrested.
On Friday, May 15, 2015, the case was presented to the San Fernando branch of the District Attorney who filed multiple felony charges including robbery, evading and possession of a firearm against both defendants.
