AMGEN bike race 
On Saturday, May 16, 2015 the Amgen Tour of California bicycle race will be coming through Upland. This is the 7th stage of the race. It will begin at the Citizen's Business Bank Arena in Ontario and end on Mt. Baldy near the ski lift.
The Upland portion of the race will be west on Arrow from Grove to Euclid Ave. and then north on Euclid Ave. to the north city limit at 24th St. Spectators are encouraged to watch the race at any point along this route. The median of Euclid will be a particularly nice place to watch the race.
The race will necessitate a full closure of Arrow between Grove and Euclid Ave. and the northbound lanes of Euclid Ave. between D St. and 24th St. The closures will begin as early as 11:45 am and continue until the race passes each location. All closures are expected to be over by 12:15 pm. Each portion of the route will only be closed for a short period of time. These closures will also prevent traffic from crossing Euclid or Arrow.
Alternate routes for east/west travel include 9th St or 8th St. Alternates for north/south travel include Mountain Ave. and San Antonio Ave.
