On May 15th, a computer scam was reported in the 100 block of Travis Trail. The victim stated that a phone number popped up of the computer screen concerning computer repair for $200.00. The victim called the number and was told that it would be $500.00 and they needed the victim's credit card number. The victim gave the information but quickly got suspicious. The victim called and checked on the account and shut it down. A short time later someone tried to access the account without success. Please do not give out account information over the phone. Either take your computer in to be repaired or have a trusted company that has been referred by a family member or friend to come to your home.
