Unit # 1, a Truck-Tractor towing a flatbed Semi-Trailer loaded with building materials for Mercersburg Builder Supply was travelling east on East Seminary Street within the Borough of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. Unit # 1 made a right turn onto Rutledge Road and the right rear wheel/tire of the Semi-Trailer struck curbing on the south side of East Seminary Street and west side of Rutledge Road. Approximately 27 ½ feet of recently poured cement curbing was knocked over and cracked at numerous location within the 27 ½ feet of curbing. Vehicle # 1 stopped entirely on Rutledge Road, facing south.
The Mercersburg Academy was having the curbing installed. Estimate cost to replace the curbing is $1,400.00.
