Announces an Arrest for:
2 Counts of Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon,
Assault by Pointing a Gun and
Assault With a Deadly Weapon With the Intent to Kill
The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Forrest Adam Edmisten, 20 years of age, of Whispering Pines, North Carolina on the above charges.
On May 15, 2015, at approximately 10:00 pm, a male reported to the Southern Pines Police Department that while walking in the 100 block of Crestview Road, he was the victim of an armed robbery with one of the two perpetrators armed with a hand gun.
On May 16, 2015, at approximately 11:20 pm, in the 100 block of NW Broad, Street a robbery took place involving two perpetrators with one armed with a handgun. During this robbery, the victim sustained a gunshot injury to the leg and is currently in stable condition.
On May 18, 2015, the Southern Pines Police Department located Forrest Adam Edmisten in Carthage, North Carolina and placed him into custody without incident for both of the above listed robbery incidents. A semiautomatic pistol was recovered at the time Forrest Adam Edmisten was placed into custody.
The Southern Pines Police Department additionally has secured arrest warrants for Jeremiah McBride, 16 years of age, for two counts of Aiding and Abetting and Armed Robbery. Jeremiah McBride has a last known address of Baker Road in Cameron, North Carolina. The Southern Pines Police Department is seeking the assistance of the community in locating Jeremiah McBride. Anyone who may have information related to this crime and/or the location of Jeremiah McBride, is asked to contact the Southern Pines Police Department. Forrest Adam Edmisten appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center under $500,000 secured bond pending hearing on May 26, 2015 in Moore County District Court.
