Camillus Police announce arrests in Grand Larceny Investigation
CAMILLUS, NEW YORK – MAY 19, 2015 – Camillus Police Department Officers have made an arrest of two suspects regarding a three and a half month Grand Larceny investigation involving the suspects stealing thousands of dollars and property from an elderly relative.
Camillus Police Officer Patricia Arnold and Detective Stephen Pigula working in collaboration with the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office, along with the assistance of several community organizations utilized various resources and worked tirelessly together to develop factual information regarding the investigation, and also to meet the needs of the elderly relative.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be lodged after hundreds of thousands of dollars have been reported stolen from the relative.
Arrested was Phillip M. Atkins (DOB 07-17-1987) of 2717 West Seneca Turnpike Marcellus, New York. Mr. Atkins was charged with:
Grand larceny in the Third Degree (2 Counts) – a Class D Felony
Grand larceny in the Fourth Degree (1 Count) – a Class E Felony
Elizabeth M Bobbett, (DOB 09/05/1993) of 2712 West Seneca Turnpike Marcellus, New York. Ms. Bobbett was charged with:
Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (1 Count) – a Class E Felony
Mr. Atkins was arraigned by Honorable Steven Poli, Camillus Justice Court and was remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $20,000 bail bond or $10,000 cash bail. Ms. Bobbett was also arraigned before Judge Poli and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $10,000 bail bond or $5,000 cash bail
