The Wichita Falls Police Department's Financial Crimes Unit is currently investigating another round of counterfeit bills being circulated in the Wichita Falls area.

All businesses and individuals that come into contact with paper currency should immediately inspect its validity.  Smaller denomination bills are allegedly being “washed” and the bills are being reprinted to a larger currency, specifically older $50 bills that do not have as many security features as new bills.

If a counterfeit bill is discovered, please contact Police to make a report.
