Montgomery County-Today at approximately 10:30 a.m, a suspect was arrested at his residence for possession of child pornography.
Information was received and ISP Detective Stephen Buckley of the Criminal Investigations Division, started an investigation that directed him to obtain a search warrant on the residence of Mark A. Rice, 51 of 2601 W. SR 234 Crawfordsville, IN. Detective Buckley, along with members of the ISP Lafayette Field Investigations, Enforcement and ISP Cyber Crime Units executed a search warrant on the residence today and allegedly found numerous images and videos of child pornography recovered from digital media located at the residence. Mr. Rice was taken into custody and preliminarily charged with 3 counts of possession of child pornography, all Level 6 Felonies and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
Assisting Detective Buckley were members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
