On May 5, 2015 at approximately 10:30 PM, a 30 year old male was assaulted in the parking lot of the Santa Clarita Skate Park located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway in Canyon Country. The victim was struck in the head and face multiple times by assailant(s) wielding skateboards. As a result of the assault the victim suffered several fractures to his jaw requiring multiple surgeries to repair.
The victim said he doesn’t know the area well and he walked over to a group of people in the parking lot to ask questions. He said there was a conversation which resulted in bad feelings and he was assaulted with a skateboard. There were several people present who witnessed the assault.
Santa Clarita COBRA detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the assault or who has information to contact Detective Finn, 661-799-5153 at Santa Clarita Valley Station.
