City Continues to Monitor Lowe River Course Change 
City of Valdez Public Service Announcement
The City of Valdez continues to monitor a course change in the Lowe River adjacent to mile 8 1/2 of the Richardson Highway.
On Tuesday, the City Public Works Department became aware of the river's new course and observed higher than normal water levels in the area. On Thursday, an engineer conducted an overflight of the river to provide additional data and recommendations to the City. Public Works personnel continue to visually monitor water levels during the day, with Valdez Police Department officers monitoring during routine night patrols.
