City of Farmington Memorial Day Parade Grand River Closure.
The City of Farmington will be holding its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25, 2015. The Parade route will be closed to traffic at approximately 9:45 AM with the parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. and lasting approximately two hours. The parade starts at Grand River Avenue and Mooney Street, and proceeds west on Grand River. The parade end is at Grand River Avenue and Liberty Street (one block west of Farmington Rd.). Grand River Ave will be closed to traffic during this time between Orchard Lake Rd. and Gill Rd. Farmington Rd. will be closed between Freedom Rd. and Shiawassee Rd, alternative routes are advised.
Detours will include Shiawassee, M-5 Freeway and Freedom Roads.
Following the parade, a short public ceremony will be held in Memorial Park located at Grand River Avenue and Oakland Street. The ceremony will honor members of the Armed Forces.
