Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests
Michael J. Griffin, 22 of Constantine Michigan and a female juvenile were arrested Sunday night during a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Van Buren Street. In the course of the traffic stop Shipshewana Police Officers discovered an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine along with a loaded handgun, several prescription pills and the remnants of a meth lab. She was later released from the hospital and turned over to her parents pending criminal charges. Griffin was released from the hospital early Monday morning and was transported to the LaGrange County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was also cited for exceeding the posted speed limit and driving while suspended. Other criminal charges are pending at this time.
