Authorities said she could be traveling to Toledo, Ohio and may pass through Louisville to meet 27-year-old Nathan David Lane, a registered sex offender.

According to the TBI, Lane, who was recently paroled in Toledo, has a warrant on file for sexual exploitation of a minor-via telecommunications.

He was entered into the NCIC, the National Crime Information Center, and was wanted for questioning.

Varela was described as being 5-feet 2-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. Lane, who also goes by Nathaniel, was said to be 5-feet 8-inches tall and weighs 151 pounds.
