2015 Hamilton County Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics
On Friday, May 29th, 2015, officers from local law enforcement agencies within Hamilton County will take part in a county-wide Torch Run to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Indiana. Special Olympics athletes from Hamilton County and around the state will be participating in this year’s Special Olympics Summer Games in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 12-14, 2015. Officers representing the Carmel Police Department, Fishers Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, Indiana State Police, Noblesville Police Department and Westfield Police Department will take part in this fundraising effort. Each agency will start at a designated location throughout the county based upon their respective jurisdiction. All of the participating agencies will then simultaneously converge on downtown Noblesville where they will be joined by local athletes of Special Olympics for a lap around the Noblesville downtown square.
At the conclusion of the run, representatives from Special Olympics will address those in attendance on the east side of the old courthouse located on 9th Street between Conner and Logan Street.
The 2015 Hamilton County Law Enforcement Torch Run will commence at approximately 10:30 a.m. as officers leave their designated starting locations and begin their trek towards downtown Noblesville. Agency starting locations and routes are listed below:

All participating agencies will plan to arrive in downtown Noblesville at approximately 12:30 p.m. Each agency will cover a distance of approximately 4-8 miles and will have support vehicles and personnel assisting along each respective route. A total of approximately 60 officers will be participating. This event will take place regardless of weather conditions.
