No Impaired Drivers Found during Sobriety Checkpoint
Posey County – Between 11:00 last night and 1:00 this morning, Indiana State Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on SR 62 at Plaza Drive in Mt. Vernon. During the two hour period, troopers checked 66 drivers and issued three traffic tickets and two warnings. No impaired drivers were found.
The Indiana State Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving.
