Montecito Fire is currently TESTING emergency notification methods for Zones 4, 5, 6 and 7 - THIS IS ONLY A TEST

Montecito Fire is currently testing emergency notification methods for Zones 4, 5, 6 and 7.
The testing in these zones began at 11:30 AM and will continue until 1:00 PM.

This area includes Hot Springs Road to the Eastern MFPD Boundary, North of Hwy. 192.

The test will include testing of REV 9-1-1, the HEARO Home Emergency Broadcast Radio, AM 1610, MFPD Website, Nixle, Facebook and Twitter.

Instructions:

If you have a HEARO Home Emergency Broadcast Radio, the HEARO Radio will sound with a HIGH alert tone, and a message will scroll across the screen on the front of the radio. In a real emergency, you would be given instructions regarding evacuation orders and other incident information.
To silence the radio, press the “Message” button on the front of the radio.
The NOAA radio station may continue to broadcast at a loud volume. To silence the “NOAA” broadcast, push the “Power” button on the far right of the radio.
