The 2nd fl west walkway from the parking garage to the County Admin Building will be closed to pedestrian traffic from June 8 to July 6
General Services will begin a project to stabilize the concrete pavers leading from the 3rd floor of the parking structure to the Administrative Bldg. (1115 Truxtun Ave.) The project will be completed in phases, with Phase I, repair of the west walkway, beginning on Monday, June 8, 2015 with an estimated completion date of Monday, July 6, 2015.
While Phase I is underway, the west walkway will be closed to pedestrian traffic. Please advise your staff to use the east walkway to enter and exit the building during the construction process. Signs will be posted on both, the north and south sides, of the west walkway reminding employees to utilize the east walkway. The west stairwell will still be accessible to staff.
Parking on the 3rd floor of the structure will be impacted, as the contractor will need to utilize several parking spaces to store materials needed for the project. The entire west wall (compact spaces) of the structure on the 3rd floor will be cordoned off for this purpose. There are additional compact spaces on the remaining levels of the structure for your use.
We would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation. It is always our intent to initiate and complete projects with as little disruption as possible for you and your staff. If you have any questions regarding the project, please feel free to contact Michael Woodruff at ext. 83066 or via email at [email protected].
