SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Breaking and Entering investigation
DATE AND TIME: Sometime between Friday, May 29th and Sunday, June 7th, 2015
LOCATION: Central Montcalm Upper Elementary School, 1488 South Sheridan Road, Sidney Township.

The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of breaking and entering incidents at the Central Montcalm Upper Elementary School, 1488 South Sheridan Road, Sidney Township. The breaking and entering’s occurred over the course of two weekends with the most recent believed to have occurred between the close of school on Friday, June 5th and the discovery of the breaking and entering on Sunday, June 7th.

The first breaking and entering involved the entry into a storage shed on the property. Items were removed from the shed however the items were located on the school property. The second breaking and entering included entry into the school. Once inside the school, the suspects consumed food, drove bicycles in the hallways leaving marks on the floors, and stealing two large teddy bears.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from anyone who may have seen the suspects on the school property; on the Heartland Trail near the school or has information on the location of the stolen large Teddy Bears to contact them at 989-831-7590.
