TUSTIN POLICE DEPARTMENT 19TH ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE
TUSTIN, Calif. – The 19th Annual Tustin Police Department Open House will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Everyone is invited to attend this free event. The hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 pm in our parking lot at 300 Centennial Way.
Have you seen our canines in action? Have you seen fire fighters rescue a driver from a trapped vehicle? Have you met racecar drivers in person? Did you want to know how to deal with coyotes? What can I do to prevent my child from drowning?
The answers to the above questions and more will be answered at our Open House, June 13th. This year we have some new exhibitors: R.A.D. (SoCal Racers Against Drugs); CHOC (Children’s Hospital of Orange County) sharing information on drowning and accident prevention); Orange County Vector Control on insects, birds, and diseases; and Bright Futures for Kids assisting families with children’s emotional issues. Some of our past friends will also be present: the army’s 419th CSSB (Combat Sustainment Support Battalion); Therapy Dogs International, Inc.; Department of Fish and Wildlife; the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children; CSP Victim Witness Program; and more.
Don’t forget you will be meeting a lot of our men and women in blue. The Tustin Police Department is composed of a number of different units and you will have a chance to visit with the different personnel. Some of those units include C.S. I. (Crime Scene Investigation), S.E.D. (Special Enforcement Detail), our motor officers, and an exhibit of our police vehicles. We will also be conducting tours of our department. Find out more about law enforcement and how we can work together to be a safer community.
With all the activities happening throughout the day, you will probably get hungry. Stop by our barbecue booth and receive a free hot dog and other refreshments. You may be wondering if there are any other activities for the kids. There will be face painting, jumpers, balloon hats, a Treasure Hunt, fingerprinting, and a special “Kids Bike Safety Course” (bring your bike and helmet).
The American Red Cross will be holding a Blood Drive from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Clifton C. Miller Community Center at our same location.
The Tustin Police Department Open House is a free family event which will provide a day of education, entertainment, and food. If you have questions, our police officers and other personnel will be on hand to answer them. It is an interactive and busy event sure to keep everyone engaged. Our family looks forward to meeting your family.
