Chief Reed WARNS SPEEDERS about detouring from Roosevelt Blvd to VERNON PLACE to get to Brigantine Avenue.
Chief Reed WARNS SPEEDERS about detouring from Roosevelt Blvd to VERNON PLACE to get to Brigantine Avenue. A speed radar sign has been placed on VERNON PLACE to catch those speeding. Officers have been advised that the warnings phase has ended and tickets will be issued to violators. A WARNING Sign has also been placed on Roosevelt to Warn Drivers.
“People do need to slow down for the overall traffic safety of our town,” says Chief Reed. “It’s simply not worth it.”. Vernon Place is a narrow street with parking on both sides.
Chief Reed also reminds us that, “Traffic safety is a shared responsibility. This includes drinking responsibly and using designated drivers or alternative ride options. Please do your part to make Brigantine a safer city; especially during the upcoming summer.”
Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians. Our Aggressive Driver Campaigns and DUI enforcement patrols work to get dangerous drivers off the streets.
Please do not use Vernon Place as a Detour , Slow Down and HAVE A SAFE & FUN SUMMER..
