A fatal wrong-way head-on collision has CLOSED west bound Interstate-8 at Mile Post 160.5 as Highway Patrol accident reconstruction team investigates. Detour off I-8 at Stanfield Road will allow west bound traffic to take Highway 84 from Stanfield Road, West back onto the I-8 to points west, such as Gila Bend, Yuma and California. Regional Fire units and EMS Crews from Southwest, have cleared the scene. Roadway may be open for west bound travel by sunrise. The east bound direction is open and unaffected by this west bound collision.
