Enforcement of Illegal Fireworks
It’s that time of year again. We are going to hear more and more fireworks going off as we approach the Fourth of July. Remember, the City of Bellflower only allows “Safe and Sane” fireworks between July 1st and July 5th until 11:00 pm. A good rule of thumb is if it leaves the ground or explodes, it’s probably not “Safe and Sane”. You may turn in any illegal fireworks, anonymously, at local fire station 23 and 98. If you are caught in possession of illegal fireworks, fines begin at $1,000. To report illegal fireworks call the Lakewood Sheriff Station at 562)623-3500.
