Welcome K-9 Danko 
The Brighton Police Department is proud to welcome our newest member, K-9 Danko. Danko, a Dutch Shepard, and his handler Officer Jim Meldrum graduated from the K-9 Academy at noon on Friday. Before the day was over Danko had "collared" his first perp! When a drunk driver fled the scene of an injury accident near Brighton, an MSP Trooper called for assistance and Danko went to work tracking and locating the suspect.
Expect to see more of Danko in Brighton, including foot patrols downtown and around the Mill Pond Park.
