A Sikeston, Missouri man is accused of child molestation and statutory sodomy.

Terry Allen Lewis, 35, was charged with two counts of statutory sodomy, child molestation in the first degree and two counts of sexual misconduct. His bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said investigators began working with the Scott County Children's Division after receiving information that Lewis had sexual-related contact with a young girl.

Sheriff Walter said the incidents reportedly happened when the victim was eight or nine years old. The victim is currently 16 years old.

He said the victim, who now lives in another state, reported that Lewis had inappropriate sexual contact with her on multiple occasions when she lived in Sikeston.
